I'm having problems using the website,

what should I do?

It is not possible to take commissions for blown glass pieces.

What if my pieces aren't suitable?

How secure is it to order?

How do I care for my items?

Do you do repairs?

elk Studio Glass pieces will stand up to everyday use, but please do not expose them to rough wear; including sharp blows, scuffing on hard surfaces, and scratches.

Please treat them with care and remove elk jewellery when doing activities such as gardening, washing up, going to the gym, before going to bed, etc. Keep your jewellery safe by storing it in the original boxes.

Sterling silver will naturally tarnish (discolour) with time as it is exposed to the air. Cleaning cloths for silver can be purchased from some supermarkets and can be used to gently rub away tarnish. Jewellery can also be stored in sealed plastic bags or containers away from direct light to help slow down tarnishing.

If cleaning blown glass pieces, please only use warm water and soap with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and towel dry. Do not put them in the dishwasher, oven, or microwave. Please do not handle frosted glass whilst wearing rings as these can scratch the surface, and avoid knocking them on other items.

Unfortunately it is not possible to repair glass pieces that have been bought elsewhere.

What is a Hallmark?

A hallmark shows that a precious metal item has been individually tested for it's purity by the assay office. It is your guarantee that the article is made of what it is being advertised as. This is shown by  a series of marks that have been stamped onto it consisting of the maker's mark, the mark of the assay office where it was tested, and the metal it is made from (sterling silver is represented by '925').

elk Studio Glass pieces that have been hallmarked will have this stated in their description. If you would like your piece to be Hallmarked, please get in touch.
